We are committed to promoting Open Science through the transparent sharing of our data. DataForest allows you to explore, visualize and access our data. DataForest is built on the principles of FAIR and ensures that all datasets are findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable.
Data License
Our datasets made available through DataForest are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. The data is made available through the data portal on the DataForest website (https://dataforest.geo.uzh.ch) and partly relate to published data packages in FAIR compliant repositories.
How to cite our data
Users are required to provide appropriate attribution via the citation format specified under “Data Policy” at each dataset. The use of our data requires also acknowledgement to DataForest, the responsible investigators and/or sponsoring agencies according to the available meta-information. We strongly recommended that data users contact us (the email address is available at the meta-information page) to inform about forthcoming publications or obtain detailed information about how the data were collected and processed.
Disclaimer & Liability
The data available on DataForest and related published data sets are provided “as is”. We process the data to the best of our knowledge, but the data can still be subject to errors or inaccuracies. Users are strongly encouraged to perform their own quality checks and validation before using the data. We encourage users to contact us for more detailed information about the data and if you identify any errors or inaccuracies (cf. email available at the meta-information page). We do not give any warranty for the accuracy of the data. We cannot and shall not be held liable for any claims, cost, or damages by the user or any third party, in connection with or as a direct or indirect result of use of our data. We shall in no case be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including without limitation, lost business or profits, loss of data or loss of use of equipment) suffered by the data user.
