Oensingen - An Agricultural Research Site

Site Description

The site is a managed agricultural field at 452 m elevation, featuring an eutri-stagnic cambisol soil type. Managed under the IP Suisse regime for intensive crop rotation, its research is supported by projects like CarboEuropeIP and GHG-Europe. For more details, visit SwissFluxNet. The agricultural field is located in the eastern part of the Swiss Alps, in the subalpine belt. Different crops are grown throughout the years including wheat, barley and grass.
